June 12, 1899.
Henry E. Wood, Esq., Assayer,
1734 Arapahoe Street,
Denver, Colorado.
Dear Sir:
When you were here the other day you stated you had a lot of Bismuth ore. I have inquired into the matter and find that the demand at one dollar and twenty cents F.O.B. Hamburg, is present price and that this price limits the market. There are a number of uses to which Bismuth can be applied should the price go low [illegible] 65 cents per lb. would cause it to be used in certain alloys and 25 cents per lb. would cause immense quantities to be used in Metalurgic processes and chemical reactions. Have you a good supply of ore, what percent of metallic Bismuth does it contain?
Yours truly,
Thomas Edison
