- European telephone company was issued basis three hundred and seventy five thousand dollars cash and same amount deferred shares for Edison interest and same amount for construction company and Gower combined hubbards newspaper attacks occasioned so many withdrawals that allottment was impossible we have no arranged with construction company to go on firm basis as before except that each takes preferred shares instead of cash & construction company furnishes working capital equivalent one hundred twenty five thousand dollars board Direction consists of four men two named by each party new company has all sales & other business in all our countries we think no other arrangement possible except Edison Company of Europe itself furnish capital and we strongly recommend acceptance immediately you cable approval engineers and apparatus will be started for points where hubbard is established and elsewhere cable without delay as we hope get some Russian concessions if arranged quick.
