- Editor's Notes
- Got yours of yesterday enclosing bills of lading for sand for Poughkeepsie Iron Co. Enclose $100 certificate of deposit as requested in yours of 10/11. Please practice "the greatest economy in spending money as we are laying out a great deal so far for the results obtained. Of course, you are not responsible for the poor working of the old machine, but I hope soon to hear better accounts of the newone." "We want to have the sand separated as cleanly as possible with a view of extracting a fair quantity of iron per day and of obtaining a tolerably perfect separation. I do nnot prescribe any given quantity of ore to be separated per day, but merely want what I have above stated." Please keep daily reports of operations.
