Title
[LM005108], Letter from Sherburne Blake Eaton to R B Bristed, February 3rd, 1882
Editor's Notes
[addressed to New Zealand] Yours of 28 Oct recd; sorry we lost prior letter. Briefly describes ore separator. Can't separate sand, titanite, and magnetic iron into separate compartments. Will sell RI iron in NY for $10/ton. At present works use 8hp engine, 1.5 for dynamo and remainder for hoisting sand. Prices: separator is $1000, dynamo $350, plus per-ton royalty. Can also send engine, belts, pulleys, etc. Will operate on 65 tons of sand per day; producing "very perfect" separation.
