- Referring to the contract you have with Mr Edison with relation to his system of Phonoplex telegrapy, I think the time is now ripe for you to do something with this matter in Great Britain. I think if you will submit the circular which I sent you to Mr.Preece it will result in your opening negotiations with the British Government for the sale of patents. We are now proceeding to make contracts with the various railroads for the use of our system on their railroad wires. [revised tc 3/2012]
