March 9, 1900 Mr. A.R. Hopkins Mr. A.R. Hopkins, 140 Exchange Street, Bangor, Maine Dear Sir:-- Replying to yours of the 7th inst. to Mr. Edison, we beg to state that the Edison Ore Milling Co has recently made a new contract with Mr. Edison extending the life of the contract, and Mr. Edison has released an indebtedness of about $40,000. The Company expects to receive this Summer royalty from the New Jersey & Penn Con. Works, and as it has only a small amount of indebtedness, hopes to pay dividends in the near future. Yours very truly, W.S. Mallory
