My dear Mr. Pilling:--
Enclosed I herewith hand you a memorandum which Mr. Edison has handed me, relative to the letter written after your interview with Major Bent of the Pennsylvania Steel Co. Mr. Edison seems to be quite exercised over the lack of confidence in our design, and is quite positive in his belief that the buildings are perfectly safe and suitable for our work.
You, of course, will use your own judgement as to whether you will show this memorandum to the Pennsylvania people.
Yours very truly,
Mr. W.S. Pilling, Treasurer.
