April 3rd, 1900 Messrs Pilling & Crane Girard Building, Philadelphia, Pa. Dear Sirs:-- We are in receipt of yours of the 31st inst. enclosing letter from Mr. Broden, which we have noted. Have you any objection to our taking the matter up direct with him, trying to arrange an interview with Mr. Baer? We prepare to write him that Mr. Edison has written a letter, stating just what he desires; but there are some things which can be better explained personally, and for that reason would like very much to have an interview Mr. Baer, also that we are willing to come any time he may name. If this is agreeable to you, we will write him later. Yours very truly, W.S. Mallory
