Messrs. Pilling & Crane,
Girard Building,
Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Sirs:-
Mr. Edison tells the writer that you have some correspondence relative to proposition made by the H.K. Porter Company and Mr. Cooke of the Compressed Air Company, and he wishes me to get the papers all together so to bring the matter in shape to take up. Will you kindly, therefore, forward whatever papers you have so I may fully prepare them for him.
We would like to know the outcome of the bond sale. We telegraphed Mr. Baird last night, as suggested by your Mr. Pilling.
The writer finds considerable work awaiting him and will not get well into matters for several days.
Yours very truly,
W.S. Mallory
