Your letter of 2nd instant addressed to the Edison Phonograph Works, inr egard to batteries, has been referred to us for reply, and we beg to make you the following quotations on cells used in connection with the phonograph, 300 ampere hour type:-- [price list follows:] Cell complete $3.00##Zinc lined box for four coils 3.60##Parts##Jar 42##Oxide plates each 46##Potash sticks each 12##Zincs each 21##All the above prices are subject to a special discount of thirty per cent (30%), which we make for your business in anticipation of large future orders, and which is confidential.##Each of these cells requires 2 oxide plates, 2 zincs and 2 potash sticks. The zincs and potash have a capacity of 300 ampere hours, and the copper plates a capacity of 600 ampere hours.##The battery requried for the phonograph, 4 cells, will under this arrangement cost you, net, $8.40, or with box, net, $10.22.##In future kindly address all correspondence pertaining to batteries to us.
