Editor's Notes: Two page handwritten enclosure stating that in 1882, the Faure (?) Co introduced lamps and other materials of the Edison system in France contrary to the Art. 32 of French Law on Patents. We were obliged to seize that material and deposit the sum of 1000 francs so to be able to begin proceedings against the Faure Co. Being in liquidation, we have abandoned proceedings and in order to recover the 1000 francs, it is necessary that you sign the power authorizing us to cash that amount.
