- Editor's Notes
- [Letterhead: The Great North Western Telegraph Co. of Canada] "I am very much obliged to you for yours of the 16th in which you account for the balance, $116,67, in the shape of a check due on Willie's account. I am very much indebted to you for your constant courtesy to him and for the opportunity you gave him to learn so much as he did. I am also obliged for the letter you gave him and for Mr. Johnson's anxiety to push him forward. I think, however, in the telemeter company he may do something on his own account. At any rate, I have made that change in his destiny. It is a great pleasure to be associated with you and other good friends, who are so ready to respond to one's requests."
