TAE "studiously avoids having anything to do with anyone else's patents as he is chock full of new ideas all the time, and hqas not time to bring them out they are so numerous." -- this is prob in reference to loom mentioned in preceding letter -- Batch would have to see it before helping -- think Johnson would do better with it in West than in England
