Title
[MBLB4014], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Thomas Alva Edison, November 23rd, 1881
Editor's Notes
Porges and Leon have "great objection" to having Puskas on boards of directors of all companies. Willing to allow him on manufacturing co and perhaps on all provided Bailey not on as well. This is tricky for me, as Puskas helped me, he being the only one besides Bailey with any idea of 'push' and Bailey unavailable for at least 3 weeks. Their objection is that P goes into 'air balloons' and has no financial standing. You should insist on P being on one, Bailey on all boards. If you want me on all boards I'll have to sell some stock. Maybe Walker would serve for a while. Lowrey can explain all this to you. Have found good manufacturing establishment near Rouen, will try to get it myself since inveestors won't do anything until Co organized. Please use sample 'power' sent you by Porges for your powers of atty, unless Lowrey object.
