- Editor's Notes
- TAE's German pat apps encountering great many objections. His specs nearly always contain some new phenomena not understood by PO or by eminent men such as Siemens. Our patent agent there isn't conversant with electricity, and cannot adequately explain the novelty. We need an expert there who instead of submitting specs exactly as they arrive from US will study them well, will re-word them to submit to German PO. The specs when received from US are not alwayws as clear as they should be, because TAE is so far ahead of others in his line that PO officials can't readily understand the new phenomena. Armengaud opposes changing our arrangements but "you know as well as I do that Mr. Knoop who probably can take out patents for washing machines & engines well cannot take out good electrical patents." I wish Armengaud would study & revise the specs instead of leaving them to Knoop.
