Phonograph Battery defects. In the Phonograph battery we use Carbon and Zinc-- Mercury electrodes & a Sulphuric Acid-Chromic Acid solution--7 1/2 cc Chr.Ac. 15 Sul. Ac. Cc 40 cc Water-- Zincs are 10% Mercuary at present. Long before the Zinc has entirely given out & in fact the first exemption of its intention to do so, is a large occurring at XX. X is the line of the fluid Sometimes the liquid boils. We partially obviate this by lessening the Sup. Ac to 10 cc.. [two drawings with this entry]
