- Editor's Notes
- re his Easter Sunday; "I have concluded that my last year was spent in the best way I could possibly spend it. I find that I can talk with any of the German workmen here and have them understand what I say, and what is more understand what they say. I also have plenty to do in reading German and translating letters and odds. During the past week we have tried a new magneto machine and found that it was a great success. I can still report progress which is all we want. Monday. I was so sleepy last night that I could not see the lines so I broke off short. You may have read in the papers an account of the failure here and perhaps seen the remarks that Mr. Edison made respecting the story. I cannot say that we are as yet successful, still there is much hope that we will make a commercial success even although we do not make the grand success we are looking towards." re Lizzie
