- Editor's Notes
- "The electric light is growing better constantly." Have bulb over desk for writing this, another in bedroom. "Mr Edison is going on with his plans for making a large factory here to make electric lamps. We have no doubt as to the ultimate success of electric lighting and of the great profits that will result..." Lamps are durable; 1 burning 550 hours, several approaching 500, and those without improvements made in last few weeks. Stock rising, bound to go higher when lamp factory running & we get into NY. "If any one wanted to speculate just a little I should advise this as a chance..." Expect large profits from cost advantage over gas.
