Title
[MU050], Letter from Charles Augustus Young to Francis Robbins Upton, August 12th, 1880
Editor's Notes
The tubes came to hand. Describes experiments & results of measuring emf of iron & platinum in vacuo. How far were the tubes exhausted; would a spark pass? Thanks to you and TAE for this help [apparently testing someone else's conclusions about conductivity in vacuum]. Regarding Clark's statement about magnet wound with iron wire: I half believe he's right that it would make a better dynamo magnet than one wound with copper.
