- [Letterhead: The Edison Lamp Co.] Stern & Silverman requested the United Co. not put the new lamp in a plant they have contracted for in one of the newspapers in Pittsburgh, as it was not satisfactory. We telegraphed them for their reasons for thinking that the new lamp was not satisfactory, and received the enclosed reply, which you will kindly return to us." [TAE Marg: "Write them that there is a mistake somewhere-they must not condense so quickly but go into the matter deeper so that the volts are right=explain this theory about differnces power is wrong that the 20 [unclear] Lamp might [unclear] better where power is cheaper."]
