Editor's Notes

calcs re wire on armature or field magnets?; Upton notes of items to be determined: What is the best resistance for the magnets and how wind them. Required the strength of the magnetising current and the strength of the current from the machine. The magentizing current could be measured by the dynamometer or the electrometer. 2 lamps in sreies 1 unit of suraface each 1 unit of energy form each a lamp in sereis unit of surface each unit of energy from each 1 lamp inmultiple utilizing the same EMF as a lamp in series what will e the resistance ofa lamp. 1/a energy fiven off on unit of surface, a few calcs follow; fr. 728 I want to know the EMF requisite to run a 100 ohm lamp when 4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 11 are obtained per H.P, calcs follow for these
