Experiments on Standard Dynamo Machine 10 Experiments to determine less[en]ing of weight [preceding this are weight and pulley arrangements] with no belt on Dynamo ie starting or fiducial weight; fr. 739 We now take 10 weighings with belt on Dynamo, circuits open speed of dynamo 1st time 524 2nd time 524, list follows, fr. 740 This would give 3757 foot lbs absorbed by machine, or 8 9/10 machines per h power; then puts battery on field magnet to determine how much work to keep machine going; fr 741 then take current from machine; fr. 742 another test using more power by having bobbin on smaller external resistance, then make resistance smaller outside and test again
