35 telephones Nos. 85-119 inc sent to London today IN testing them we find them all a little lower than they ought to be but very good. We sent 23 on Oct 9th which were all low on testing but when we put in the ribbed spring they all belched right out [with drawing of spring] We cannot at prsent account for the fact that these 35 are a little lower than standard. fr. 943 We pressed some chalks from new mould (that is the one made for the msall chalks) and in order to get the right pressuure we took a chalk moulded in large mould and turned the diameter to fit the small mould and weighed the chalk -- testing pressure expts
