Tested 25 and 18 wire sections of Carman's circuit. After fixing short in lamp post, wires @ 214.5 [2145?] ohms. "This cable is wrapped once with muslin tarred, wound with marlin covered with hard coal tar boiled with crude coal tar, half & half." [`marlin' is "small, usually tarred line of two strands twisted losely left-handed that is used esp for seizing and as a covering for wire rope.']
