p. 65: sketch of lamp with "perm magnet prevent carrying" p. 67: two lamp sketches, with plates inside filament and wired to one of the filament connections probably to prevent carrying. p. 69: another lamp with coil inside filament to prevent carrying. p. 71: "Lamps Mch 8 1883--TAE passed thread through tragacanth & die-- Made Lamp with P terminals large surface ditto N-- ditto both N. & P. don’t see much change regular Have ascertained that blackening of one of the platina wires in inside part is due to electrolysis & conductivity of the glass:-- & that Lime glass has less & Potash glass still less than our regular Lead glass am going make some bulbs of these glasss"
