Title
[N214255] Technical Note, July 1881
Editor's Notes
"Reisstance coils for external circuit of dynamo C" Calcs work that will be performed, amount of heat produced in resistance, and rise in temp of water circuilated through resistance barrels. Then cals amount of wire to use. Diagram of wiring of resistance coils (in multiple arc) P. 259 calcs the amount of 10 gauge wire needed to have same aggregate cross section as an armature bar. Concludes that "18 wires will be suffieient and 6 barrels being required 3 strands to each barrel." Is this simply to determine how much resistance will be needed to make useful test of the C? Or way to model the C before construction?
