"We run armature little while & then put field on just as the field was charging up, spitting commended with loud sound across from bar to bar with 1/32 of air space." Hypothesizes static effect as the "trouble with all dynamos." "Test the kick between the insulated armature and the field magnet when the field is put on" We guess he's measuring an induced current in stationary armature when field current is switched on. poss select per Paul
