[microbe tests, contd.] Took one drop of pepsin solution and finding life in it adulterated wtih 1 drop of HgCL, new solution 1/10,000. No movement then perceived. ## Repeated experiment with same result. ## Tried several [----] of pepsin solution drops adulterated with ZnCl2 concentrated. So far as could be discovered this did not kill microbes. ## Two tests with chromic acid in the same way 1/300 & 1/12,500 seemed to kill microbes. ## One test with gasoline one drop of gasoline to four of pepsin solution seemed to shew that the movement of the bacteria ceased but the smaller micro[---] seemed to shew movement. ## One test with NaHO solution concentrated 6.5% solution did not seem to kill either the larger or the smaller. Temp of test 28C.
