- "Carrying Capacity of Conductors." "Five strips of bright brush copper were suspended across the galvanometer room about 250 cms from the floor and about 24 cms apart. These strips were prepared as follows." [table of dimensions & nature of metal] "A photograph was taken by Mr Dixon [Dickson] of the entire arrangement. The temp of the air was taken by means of a thermometer suspended betneath the strips. Both in this and the preceeding experiment the air was kept as still as possible in the room by keeping the doors and windows closed. The grid was used in multipl giving 0.0121 [w]." [tables]
