- [drawing] "In fitting up the hopper and allowing the dust to pass through this can only be done by having a extra large outlet as it will be "mass" otherwise & remain in hopper. Should I use the larger mouthed hoper the stream ecoes too thick & consequently uncontrollable. This decided me to use a sieve and sift down as much dust as I should desire to be then caught and guided into a stream but still the spreading has yet to be overcome
