"Saxalby Run a curve of Regulars made thus Put on pumps and exhaust gradually bring lamps up to about 3 candles say as whitish yellow-- then let them run 3 hours this way then gradually bring it up to about 16 candles let it run 2 hours this way-- then bring it up & work air off clamps-- and when ready to seal off put it at yellow red heat & let it burn 3 hours then seal off-- you can do this in one day" [ following this are 2 undated notes from TAE to Saxelby] [1st] "Saxelby Run another curve get vac & Run lamp up to Bright yellow & keep it there for 5 hours then run to whitish yellow say 3 candles keep it there 1 hour then run to get air off clamps & put it back to yellow & run 3 hour & seal off-- No. 4. Another Curve; put on early in morning get vac & gradually run up to bright yellow Let it run till 3 oclock then run gradually up & work off air from clamps-- then put it back to yellow & seal off just before 6 oclock" [2nd] "Saxelby Run another Curve-- start at 7 oclock & get vacuum then peg up to yellow burn 2 hours then advance peg to bright yellow burn 2 hours then advance peg to whitish yellow burn 2 hours-- then advance peg to say 5 candles burn 1 hour then to 16 candles burn 1 hour then work air off clamps & peg back to bright yellow until 6 oclock & seal off--"
