Editor's Notes
Expts on diff porous substances to replace paper in EMG; It is evident the Electro Moto Action is due entirely to the solution-- It only requires a solid to hold it"; among those tried is chalk and pyrogallic and says as "As good as paper-- God conductor at same time admits of motograph action holding solution well-- chalk not being of itself a conductor--allows the solution to perform that function alone" -- ends with "Chalk is best so far"
