- [POTENTIALLY SELECTABLE DRAFT PATENT APPN---SHORT 3+ PGS FEW DRAWINGS]: "The object of this invention is to produce a more perfect record of the vibratinos produced by sounds on a phonograph, so that more [perfect?] reproduction of the voice from the record is possible. The invention is also applicable to telephone. ## The invention consists in surrounding the whole of one or both sides of the diaphragm with a mobile liquid or its equivalent so that harmonic & extra vibrations of the diaphragm are prevented and also to prevent excessive amplitude of the diaphragm by the fundamental vibrations which [illeg] the weaker vibrations to be affected. ## The action of the liquid is to prevent excessive movements of the diaphragm and also deaden the same so that all extra vibrations except those due to the voice are obliterated.
