"There appeared in the morning journals of the 13th inst. a lettered addressed 'to the public' over the signature of 'The Westinghouse Electric Company, by George Westinghouse, Jr., President,' and inserted in the form of paid advertisement, attacking not only the conclusions resulting from my recent experiments in Mr. Edison's laboratory, but severely critising the resultant action of the Medico-Legal Society in recommending the adoption of the alternating current for the execution of criminals. First, allow me to deny emphatically that I am now or ever have been in the emmploy of Mr. Edison of any of the Edison companies......### I therefore challenge Mr. Westinghouse to meet me in the presence of competent electrical experts and take through his body the alternating current, whil I take through mind a continuous current..."
