Bibliographic Citation
"Can He Kill the Microbes?: Physicians Laugh at Edison's Specific for Yellow Fever", New York World, September 27th, 1888
Editor's Notes
TAE says he has found a cure for the yellow fever. He says that applying gasoline or caustic soda can decrease temperatures so low that it will kill all organic life. However, there were still debates as to whether yellow fever was miasma or microbe based. Doctors were very skeptical of this proposition.
Edison claims to have discovered process for extermination and effectual check of yellow fever, based on theory that sufficient cold will kill all forms of organic life
