Tomlinson and Gilliland were supposed to deal with the phonograph patent. They said it had been sold for $500,000. However, TAE found out that it had been sold for $750,000 and that the two pocketed the difference.
Thomas Edison accuses late legal adviser John C. Tomlinson of cheating him out of $250,000 in the sale of the phonograph
