Title
[SB019009b], Clipping, St Paul and Minneapolis Pioneer Press, January 19th, 1889
Editor's Notes
TAE put the disposition of the phonograph in the hands of Tomlinson and Gilliland who were able to interest Lippincott in buying the patent. Tomlinson and Gilliland reported to TAE that the sale had been made for $500,000 and that the two would have shares in the company. TAE later found out that the sale was actually $750,000 and that the two had pocketed the balance. Tomlinson was shortly afterwards dismissed from the Edison Electric Light Co.
