- TAE has discharged Tomlinson because he did not recive as much as he should have for the phonograph patent. The article describes how the two met and the details of the sale. TAE has not been saying much about this. Lippincott quickly formed a corporation and stockholders of the North American Phonograph company are laughing at the extremely low price at which they purchased the phonograph.
