The Sunday Sentinel receives a dispatch that details Tomlinson and Gilliland's side of the phonograph patent sale. However, Capt. S.N. Johnson says that TAE was actually saved by Gilliland from selling the patent for only $350,000.
Thomas Edison accuses late legal adviser John C. Tomlinson and electrician/inventor Ezra T. Gilliland of cheating him out of $250,000 in the sale of the phonograph
