- "TAE has avoided, as far as possible, litigation in regard to his patents." But there is now a big split between TAE and Gilliland and Tomlinson. He has charged the two with "treachery and breach of faith, and that they have made $250,000 out of him by unfair dealing in his stock and by selling to Lippincott" a contract of which Edison claims the control for that amount. The article then details the sale of stock and the rights to sell the phonograph.
