- Editor's Notes
- Thomas. A. Edison was to be seen every day on Broadway a week ago taking a daily stroll, but with an absent minded air which showed that his thoughts were elsewhere than in the crowded thoroughfare. He had left his Orange laboratory to spend a few weeks in New York for relaxation, but a week of idleness was as much as he could stand and he hastened to his be loved work like a schoolboy home or the holidays. Edison's magnificant private laboratory has been often described, but to a thoughtful observer it never fails to afford food for amazed reflection that here is a building which cost in the neighborhood of $500,000, and which is entirely devoted tot eh experimental investigations of one man.
