- Editor's Notes
- [from Florence] "I was much pleaseed to heare through Mr. Carson that you were in Paris, especially as I have osme hopes of going there for 15 days about the 15th of next month. ## I have written to the Rev. Mr. Newell, who kindly offered to assist me in finding a room somewhere in the latin quarter, which will not be expensive & if I can see it within my means to do so I shall go. ## I hear Mr. Edison is going to be in Paris during next month. I should be so glad to see him although I suppose he will be so much sought after & so busy that he will not have time to give to such humble individuals as I am. Nevertheless perhaps you will enable me to say 'how do you do' to him. ## I have been wondering whether it would not be a good idea for me to send on to you a case of my bust of Edison to put in your exhibition. Perhaps Mr. E might like it enough to order it in marble. I wish I could afford to present him with a marble copy....."
