- Editor's Notes
- [in TAE's hand] My Dear Berger##[corssed out text] If all the honors given to meritorious people who have worked to make your marvellous exhibition a success have been given our then this letter will reach you too late but if there is still a chance I should like to speak a good word for my Chief at the Expostiion Mr Hammer who for many months before coming with my Exhibit to Paris worked night and day to make it a success & be an honor to all and has I think succeeded in doing it. I therefore ask if it be not too late if you will kindly use your infliuence that he be given some kind of a distinction which I know he will highly prize. Yours Edison
