- Editor's Notes
- CJ Bell sent note 2/2 asking me to subscribe to Volta stock, option expiring yesterday at 3 p.m.###I suppose they had no trouble selling it; Tainter the other day said it had all been taken; my offer to contribute money to its development was based on the idea that investing parties should specify interest in the outcome.###They have nothing but improved mechanism for present phonograph; volume is diminished; articulation unimproved; they haven't a commercial machine of value.###A provision in articles of association you sent requires keeping the three inventors on the payroll indefinitely or allow them to become the owners of their inventions; Volta simply has the right to buy what they may invent; don't like this provision.
