Title
[X154A7BZ], Letter from Uriah Hunt Painter to Edward Hibberd Johnson, April 9th, 1888
Editor's Notes
Asks again how much money Edison needs and talked over with Reiff what he might be willing to take to settle phono company issue. Discussed with Reiff and asked him to do nothing without consulting with EHJ. "I feel very sore at the indignation that Mr. Edison is putting oup on me by his treatment from which it seems manifaest that he is in the hands of those who are not his friends and who are endeavoring to force a rupture between he and I."
