- Editor's Notes
- My Dr UH-- I didn't want to advise you on the subject of the meeting at DM & Co's as it was of such a nature as to demand of me the strictest confidence & as I had nothing else to say I concluded it was best not to write at all--##Now I can only say that DM & Co are demanding a price for the Light Co that can probably be rejected by both Villard & Edison. V on a/c of the disinclination of his Berline people to pay much for Patents and Edison on a/c of the fact that his manufacturing properties will thereby be too greatly diluted-- Whether they will come together today or not is an open question-- At all events they are at it-- and both Sammy and I are using our best efforts to bring about an agreement-- I will let you know whether any progress is made Yours Truly E H Johnson
