This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the technical and commercial development of wireless telegraphy or radio. Included is an exchange between Edison and his chief engineer, Miller Reese Hutchison, concerning the market position of Edison's storage batteries with regard to the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. of America. Also included are remarks by Edison about government ownership of telephone and telegraph lines.
Less than 10 percent of the documents have been selected. The unselected material consists primarily of unsolicited correspondence that received a perfunctory response or no reply from Edison.
