The Harry F. Miller File contains contracts, financial material, correspondence, interoffice communications, and other legal and business records that were maintained by Miller in his capacities as Edison's personal business secretary and as an official in several Edison companies. The items for 1905 include an agreement between Thomas A. Edison, Jr., and his future wife, Matilda Heyzer (mentioned in the agreement as Beatrice Willard), according to which Edison Jr. agreed to assign the $40 weekly allowance he was receiving from his father to Mrs. Willard until his debt to her of $1,500 was paid off.
