Dear Sir:-
Replying to your letter of 16th instant, in regard to your new and improved Water Motor and devise for the development of large water powers [illegible text] high falls, Mr. Edison is wary, [illegible text] obliged so you for your offer to show him the plans of your invention, but he is not interested in the subject of the same and will therefore not trouble you in the matter. The Edison Company has nothing to do with the [illegible text] power part of the [illegible text] and knows nothing about that branch of the business; it is interested only in the necessary electrical equipment.
