Title
[D8148ZBU], Report from John Henry Harjes, June 24th, 1881
Editor's Notes
[NOT CODED as enclosure to D8148ZBT.] 11 typed pages replying to accusations made by Bailey, with some marginal notes by TAE. Rehearses Bailey's efforts (1880-1881) to form French telephone company, for which Harjes gave him unsecured loane of 50,000, and Bailey & Puskas desire to bring Drexel Harjes into the French syndicate. Bailey apparently has accused Harjes of acting in interest of Drexel, Harjes instead of TAE. Goes through tangle of claims & obligations attached to TAE telephone patents, and the settlement enacted by Harjes. Suggests that Bailey (and more recently in concert with Puskas) has designs on Euro. Light Co. stock--this isn't any more clear than the whole French telephone mess.
